I went to the MCA on Saturday to see the comics exhibition for a class assignment. I thought it was ok, personally I am not that interested in comics though. I just couldn’t understand what it had to do with design because the class is about “Design Culture Now”. Maybe I was missing the point, I don’t know. Besides that, these illustrations were pretty awesome. A number of them were pretty explicit though. It just made me think that maybe these comics are meant for people to be able to relate to them; to have a realistic quality to them. Now, the other exhibit that was at the MCA which I thought was interesting was the one about China. It showed some of the products that was made repurposing trash that was dumped into their community. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures to post it up. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it. Well that was my experience at the MCA.
